1. What made you start learning Korean?

I’ve been watching K-dramas for a while and managed to pick up Hangul and a few words on my own. However, I lacked the confidence to actually use them. I wanted to properly study the language instead of relying on subtitles, but the idea of speaking with a native speaker felt intimidating. That’s what led me to try seoulxon.

2. How was your experience with Seoul X On?

My lesson with Teacher Jumi was a great experience. Her calm and welcoming demeanor quickly put me at ease, and her encouraging feedback was very helpful. Since the class follows a structured textbook, there was no pressure to speak an overwhelming amount of Korean right away.

3. What's the biggest change in your Korean since you started?

I managed to overcome my initial fear of speaking. Before the class, I knew some vocabulary but was hesitant to say anything out loud. Following the structured lesson plan helped me learn practical phrases step-by-step. While I’m not speaking in full paragraphs yet, practicing basic sentences gave me the confidence I needed to keep going.

4. Who would you recommend Seoul X On to?

This is a great fit for anyone who wants to learn Korean but feels a bit hesitant to take that first step. If you're looking for a patient and supportive teacher, Jumi is an excellent choice.

I used to just mimic BTS lyrics. Now I can actually read the Hangul.
