1. What made you start learning Korean?
Main reason is BTS and being able to understand what they are saying. But I also teach English to Korean students and with beginners, sometimes it is beneficial to give the Korean word in addition to the English word (like 학교 or 학원, for example)
2. How was your experience with Seoul X On?
I took classes from three different teachers because I wanted to try different approaches. All three were incredible in their own right. I had the most classes with Soyoon due to my end of the year school schedule and only being able to do class at certain times. All three were very patient with me and understanding with my limited vocabulary or if I mispronounced words.
3. What's the biggest change in your Korean since you started?
I learned several new words I can use with more confidence. I am a little better at reading the words - batchims and some letters still get me though. I did have a student in my English classes who talked about '호주' and thanks to my lesson, I knew he was talking about Australia.
4. Who would you recommend Seoul X On to?
Anyone who wants to learn Korean with an actual instructor and not just through a website or video. I think it is incredibly beneficial because things like pronunciation or misunderstandings can be corrected. You can also ask questions on anything you are confused about and get the answer.
