1. What made you start learning Korean?
I've been learning Korean on and off in my life. This class gave me a chance to keep up my skills and also experience the learning process from a student's perspective as an English teacher teaching Koreans.
2. How was your experience with Seoul X On?
The scheduling with the first teacher didn't work out. But my second teacher it did and I loved it. Jumi was really good. She was very friendly, and explained things very well. We had such a great time that it made me look forward to taking more of her classes! In addition, I started learning about K-pop lyrics and it just became a basic language lesson which I didn't realize I needed until I did it.
3. What's the biggest change in your Korean since you started?
There were a lot of slang and more conversational expressions I learned than my previous Korean classes I've taken. It was also cool getting updates on what's common in Korean culture these days.
4. Who would you recommend Seoul X On to?
I would recommend this to any English teacher teaching Koreans who has never had a Korean language learning experience or might want to see the learning experience from the student's point of view. It really helps. In fact, I found my teaching getting better because of it.
