1. What made you start learning Korean?
I got into K-Pop about 4 years ago. I started learning Korean casually after that. After I had to change jobs for health reasons, I decided to make a trip to Korea. I did a month long study program in Hongdae. I've since moved to Korea for work and now live here full time.
2. How was your experience with Seoul X On?
The class atmosphere was lovely. The tutors are very kind and communicative. They're engaging friendly, and always remember what you talked about the week before. They're always looking for what the most relevant thing to teach you is that will be the most helpful for you.
3. What's the biggest change in your Korean since you started?
My vocabulary and confidence have both improved since starting. The Daily Korean class has really helped me, especially learning common responses I might hear to daily situations. I've really enjoyed the KPop classes as well. It's helped bridge some gaps between KPop lyrics and real life Korean I might hear or use in daily life.
4. Who would you recommend Seoul X On to?
Anyone interested in improving their Korean. Anyone with an interest in situation based learning as opposed to textbooks structured by grammar points. KPop fans looking to understand more of the lyrics behind their favorite songs.
